Articles, What Can They Do For Me?

Google’s Jagger

The Google update “Jagger” completed it’s 3rd and hopefully final update. The 3rd update has been live for a couple of days at Google’s data center IP 66.102.9.104. Like I said in my last bit of “Jagger” news, this update did not hit all data centers at the same time, instead they are doing one data center at a time. So hopefully in a week or two, life will get back to normal. The following list is how we believe Google has handled these issues in the Jagger update:

1) Increased importance placed on IBL (Inbound Links) Relevancy?

2) Increased importance placed on OBL (Outbound Links) Relevancy?

3) Promotion of relevant Niche Directories (related to 1) & 2)?

4) More weight thrown back to PR at top domain?

5) Increased importance on AdSense placement relevancy?

6) Possible introduction of CSS Spam filtering?

7) Overall Blog demotions?

8) New and unresolved "canonical" issues?

Make sure you have all your P’s and Q’s straight.

Make Millions From Your Website With SEO Services From Kenya

The internet is currently the best library for information. This may sound wrong but even if one wants to create a nuclear weapon, all one has to do is to do a search on any search engine and one will be provided with all the information necessary to create it. I am in no way advocating that you do this; I am just showing you how much information there is on the internet.

But with what has been discussed, you will find that most of the websites that are found in Kenya are filled with a lot of flash images with lack of information. They are mostly adverts and links pointing to other pages and other sites. This why it is hard to get Kenyan sites performing well against the other international sites. The reason for this is because they have not been optimized…in other words, they lack search engine optimization.

The most common ways of getting information on the internet is through the search engines. In addition to this, search engines look for websites with necessary content and well researched keywords so that your site can appear in the top pages in search engine results. This means that if your website lacks content, it is probably in the hundred and something page, which is rarely visited. But with the relevant content and right keywords, your website will appear in the first 10 results, if it is well optimized.

Let is say you have a Kenyan website then you have it optimized for the keyword ‘music instruments’. This keyword could have a popularity of 50 million visitors per month. If your site is among the top, we can say that 10% of the visitors (5 million) access your site. Out of those 5 million, another 5% (50,000) purchase a product at an average of KShs. 1,000. This means that you have made a cool KShs. 50 million in a month. How cool is that.

But the only way that can happen is by getting SEO services that can be found affordably in Kenya

Why Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Is Necessary For Your Website?

SEO is the acronym of Search Engine Optimization (optimisation)(SEO). Search Engine Optimization is a set of methods aimed at improving the volume of traffic to a web site from search engines via natural search results. Naturally, the more visitors will be received from the search engines if a site appears in the top of search results. The main process of Search Engine Optimization is to optimize one’s website to get better results in search engines. The process of choosing targeted keyword phrases related to a site, and ensuring that the site places well when those keywords phrases are the part of a web search. The main motive of Search Engine Optimization is to make a site and its content at higher position.

Every business wants to reach at the zenith of industry. Even each and every website owner wants to generate quality traffic to his site and boost it to a wider market on the internet. Search Engine Optimization (Seo) Company makes it possible which have proficiency and appropriate experience in running and winning the SERP race for sites of any slot. Search Engine Optimization is not a Herculean task. As you all know that developments and practices in the industry are changing with the improvements made by search engines so Search Engine Optimization (Seo) requires brain works, smart planning and the broad knowledge of the whole internet to do it properly.

Every website owner wants to increase the volume of traffic in Google, yahoo and msn but there are usually thousands of sites in the fight to be at the top of the rankings on search engines. It can be possible by improving internal and external factors of Search Engine Optimization to achieve a higher position on SERPS. Even there are other SEO factors of Search Engine Optimization which helps to improve the status of any website like Keywords Placement, On Page Optimization, Off Page Optimization, title rebuilding, Content modification, URL Optimization, Image Optimization and Link Building etc. So it is necessary to optimize a website to gain the advantages over competitors.

Search Engine Optimization is a long process and if you really want the people who visit your site then it is the main requirement of your website to attain a higher position on search engines. For example if you really have a great website and spend your all time adding things to it, but if no body is visiting, it is really a wastage of time to have a website. The truth is that when people want something on internet, they search in the search engines. That time if your site is not listed then YOU ARE MISSING VALUED CUSTOMERS.

SEO? In-House Or Outsource? Answers Here

SEO efforts in my firm are still currently managed in-house and the reason why I have not decided on outsourcing this piece of work is because I have yet to meet any company who really understands what's important in SEO and how it truly works. But that's in Singapore, perhaps it's different if you from another part of the world. Regardless of where you come from, you will benefit from my search insights.

Another reason why SEO is still not outsourced in my firm is simply because, I have in my team someone who is well-trained in search engine optimization. It's not just some theories one can pick up from an ebook or from a short 1-2 day workshop. Unless this person has implemented and maintained SEO especially on big websites and has probably survived a few rounds of search engine algorithm changes in the last few years, he/she is still relatively untested. And since we are generating a very high amount of online sales through our website, we just cannot afford to take this risk.

But if you are a small business owner and even if you do not sell online, you should outsource your SEO efforts because your time is worth it and because your potential customers deserve to find you online. I cannot tell you how much frustrations I had trying to locate a local service via all the major search engines in Singapore. They just can't be found! And I do believe it's the same else where and thousands of businesses have not awaken to the reality that more and more people are going online each day and they are "dying" to buy their products/services online.
So the answer to the proverbial outsourcing question is this? Unless you are prepared and have the budget to invest in training and grooming someone within your team on SEO, you should outsource. Because whether you like it or not, Search Engines are here to stay and as they evolve, you cannot afford not to be found on them.

So then, what should you look out for when you do outsource to a local SEO company? These are the key points to note and I am assuming you understand the ills of unethical SEO practice.
Are they already working for your competition? A good and ethical SEO company should only work exclusively with one company from a particular industry. While you cannot deny the firms their rights, but you should defend your own. Common sense will tell you the issue of conflict of interest will arise when a firm take on another assignment with your competitor. Who is he going to help more? Until you are able to secure an agreement in black and white on their exclusivity option, my advice is to stay away.

Who is managing your SEO campaign? Your SEO campaign is only as good as the person who has been assigned by the firm to execute it, find out what are some of the previous SEO projects this same search marketing person NOT the company has managed. Staff turnover in search firms are extremely high and the risk in going with someone with untested track record is more than just your money, it's your website's reputation! I have seen how poorly executed SEO resulting in sites getting permanently banned from the search engines.

Can they "guarantee" your success? I am expecting a No for an answer in case you are assuming otherwise. If the search engines cannot assure you of a good ranking, what makes you think the SEO firms can? Because the rules of ranking (algorithm) are constantly changing, you ought to work with a search firm who can offer you a sound long term road map on their approach to help you achieve your business objectives. Ongoing work is often needed to maintain one's position in SERP (search engine results page), and like most successes in life, success in SEO is a journey not an incident.

Finally, getting your website ranked through SEO is good but still incomplete in the grand scheme of things, a well-rounded and effective search marketing plan should also include PPC efforts along with a mechanism to track outcomes or conversions. In fact, starting your Search Engine Marketing Campaign with PPC first is a much smarter way than with SEO. Most firms today are either good at one or the other rarely both, you know you found a good catch if they are able to demonstrate to you very clearly in their proposal the overall solution (ppc, seo and conversion tracking) to search.

Get 1st Page Google Ranking in 24 Hrs Using Keyword Research

Google keyword research is an integral step you must take when beginning the process of building web pages or creating content, if you stand any chance of ranking high in Google search engine rankings. Finding good keywords or keyword phrases that have a lot of searches but little competition is key to getting ranked high in Google organic search results.
How to research keywords using free Keyword Research:
If you don't want to buy one of the pay keyword tools you can simply use the Google keyword research tool which is a great tool in itself, it just takes a little more time.
Okay before we get started talking about analyzing keywords lets define some terms well be using. For keywords you have your broadest terms (known as Markets), these can be broken down into smaller more targeted groups called a niche, these can be broken down even further into a micro niche.
Concentrate on finding keywords in the "niche" or "micro niche" keywords categories when doing your research. "Market" keywords are far to difficult to rank for on Google due to the large number of websites competing for those spots. As an example Network Marketing (11,800,000 sites listed) will be way harder to rank for on Google than Network Marketing Tips (101,000 sites listed)
To start your keyword research all you want to do is go to the Google keyword tool and type in your market keyword and get keyword ideas. From here I like to sort by approximate search volume. Any keywords over 10,000 are probably too competitive, and you don't want to go much lower then 1,000.
Find the keywords that fit the above criteria, and start typing them into Google with quotations around them. When you find some suitable keywords with less than 50,000 sites listed (less than 150,000 if you know advanced SEO), those are the keywords you want to create your content (Videos, articles, Squidoo pages, blog posts, etc.) and websites around. Make sure your content is rich with these particular keywords.

Landing Page Optimization For Visitors and Search Engines

Search engines are the best way to get free traffic to your Website. And that's why it is essential to optimize landing page for search engines. I am giving in this article some of the most important tips for landing page optimization for search engines.

Keywords optimization:

If you have made keyword research and found specific keywords for your Website; you should spread these keywords in body content. Always, put main keyword in title and use h1 header tag for this keyword in content. Keep this keyword at the beginning and at the end of the body if appropriate. Repeat the keyword once in 1-2 paragraphs. Use formats like bold, italic, or underline for your keyword. If there are images on page make sure that you use tag with your targeted keyword as alternate text. If you target more than 1 keyword, place your second keyword in h2 header tag. Make sure that your content flow looks natural. Avoid keyword stuffing if keywords do not fit into content. You just need show authority of keyword on your Website.

Optimization for visitors:

First, optimize your landing page keeping visitors in mind and search engines are only the medium for your visitors to reach your Website. It should look professional. Content should be clearly arranged and should be easy to read. Create a catchy headline. Your landing page should be able to catch your readers' attention within 2-3 seconds of arrival. Otherwise, they will leave your page immediately. Make them to read further. Make them to take action.
Don't irritate your visitors by unnecessary pop-ups or flashes. Add site map so that search engines can easily crawl each page of your site. Put testimonial, free offers etc. in order to increase credibility of your Website. High bounce rate also decreases your Website ranking in search engine.

Conclusion:

Optimize your landing page for the these factors keeping your visitors in mind first and then optimize for search engines.

SEO - Can Google "Sandbox" Your New Website?

There are many forums and blogs talking about the "sandbox" theory, which states that when your website is new, Google places it in a "sandbox" for a certain time. During that time, you do not appear high in the rankings and you might not even appear at all.
Some people say building more links to your website will enable you to "escape" from the sandbox. Others say the sandbox effect can only be eliminated by the passage of time. A lot of people however believe that the sandbox mechanism in Google actually exists.
Let us first understand that there are many aspects of SEO, internet marketing and website management which can be argued both ways. The sandbox theory is one of them. No one knows whether is exists for sure, but people are able to validate it (or invalidate it) based on their experiences.
My experience tells me that if I carry out link building in the right way, I can appear on page one for moderately competitive keywords in week 3-4. As soon as I start a website, my practices enable me to get it indexed within the next 5-6 hours. And typically in the first week, I am somewhere on pages 5-6 of the search results.
Does that mean that the "sandbox" theory is untrue? In my experience it is.
I feel that people think the sandbox exists for two reasons. The first group of people does not know how to get backlinks to their websites at all and therefore get anxious when their website does not show in Google index for a certain period of time. The latter group simply gets so many unnatural, low quality links to their website in the first week of inception that Google penalizes them.
Therefore, I believe that although the sandbox mechanism does not exist, Google can keep your website from appearing high in the rankings (or at all) because of your lack of good SEO knowledge.
The correct way to making sure your website is never sandboxed is to build a steady amount of good quality links to it consistently.
