Promote Your Site Every Day

Website promotion only works if you promote your site on a regular basis. So how about promoting your website every day? Read how, below.

Day 1 - Submit Your Site To A Search Engine
Okay, okay there are no big surprises with this promotion method.
Search engines still represent the best way to get traffic to your site, day after day after day. But which search engines are the most important?

Answer: Google, MSN Search, Yahoo! Search.
The good news is that you don't have to submit your site to Google at all as it prefers to find your site. The bad news is that it can only find your site if another site (already listed on Google) is linking to your site. So you need to build some incoming links to your site straight away. (Learn how to build incoming links in Day 3.)

It is also important that your pages are optimised for the search engines. You'll find an up-to-date list of the major search engines and directories at StrongestLinks.com .
Day 2 - Write An Article
You've probably heard of article marketing, and know that writing articles is a great way to do two important things:

1) build incoming links to your website
2) establish your expertise
So, how do you write articles? Well, you can learn by reading other articles; or you can visit an article directory and read articles about writing articles; or you can buy a book about writing articles. It's up to you. Writing articles is not difficult, especially if you follow these basic guidelines:
* Know what you are trying to achieve in writing your article and know who your target audience is
* Brainstorm the content using an article-writing formula like a 'Top 10 Formula' or a FAQ formula
* Know what your outcome is and create an author resource box that makes that outcome happen.
There are many article writing formulas and you might even come up with your own. The main thing is to work out a method of writing good quality articles, quickly.
After that, you either post your article on your website or you let others do the same by submitting your article to the major article directories. EzineArticles.com is one such directory.

Day 3 - Build Incoming Links To Your Site
Links make the Net go around; they are what make the internet great! Links also make your website useful to your site visitor (a well-maintained, and useful, links page can in itself make a website worth re-visiting again and again).
One way of achieving lots of links to your site is to swap links with other sites. The best way to do this is to:
- Identify sites with similar content to yours- Send a personal email to the webmaster suggesting that both your sites could benefit from a reciprocal link- Develop a useful "Resources" page and put those links on this page.
Personally speaking, I would be happy to share link with you regarding this. If you are going to keep my link in yours frontpage I am going to that to yours page too. If you want to share than send me private message with subject "I want linksharing with you" at bikal2@ymail.com.

A much better strategy is to try and build incoming links to your site only. Writing articles is one way of doing this and so is using Web 2.0 sites like MySpace (see below).

Day 4 - Write A Press Release
What's better than advertising in a publication? Answer: having your business feature in an article in that publication.

So here are the basic steps of writing a press release:

=> Press Release Checklist
1) Have a story to tell2) Think like a journalist3) Format the press release properly4) Keep your press release short!5) Promote your press release online
Above all, keep it short.
Obviously there is a little more to it than that. Do a search for how to write a press release to learn more.

Day 5 - Use Web 2.0 Sites Like MySpace, Squidoo and Digg
Whilst it will always be important to rank well on Google, the website promotion rules are slowly changing. Now it's important to know about social media optimization and not just search engine optimization to get visitors to your website.
For example, here are three websites that *can* help you promote your website and thus help you promote your business, online:

1) YouTube2) Digg.com3) Del.icio.us
The above sites are known as social networking sites or social bookmarking sites or even social media sites. Whatever they are known as, the most important thing about these types of sites (and these three sites in particular) is that they are some of the most visited websites in the world. And, they allow you to link to your site, one way.
However, putting content that links to your website on these social media sites and then getting exposure to that content is, effectively, the art of social media optimization. Again, do a search to learn more.

Day 6 - Create New Content
It may come as a surprise to you, but search engines such as Google 'like' sites that get constantly updated. Think of news websites like The BBC or CNN, or think of social bookmarking sites like Digg.com or even del.icio.us - they all do very well when it comes to being 'valued' by the search engines.
The reason? Well, the search engines believe that sites that change every hour are more 'important' than related sites that change every month. You would too, don't you think!
So, how does this help you?

Well, you need to consider creating new content for your site as regularly as possible to try and recreate this 'valued' factor with the search engines.
Whether you add new articles to your site, or new product listings or even new content like videos, you want to get into the habit of adding new content to your site on a regular basis. Do this every day if possible.

Day 7 - Test, Test, Test
Hey! You may have nothing to do today.
It all depends on how well you have been doing the above activities. And the only way to find that out is to measure results, or to test.
How to test?

Log your activities and then find the answers to the following types of questions:

1) Is your site appearing on the search engines?
Do a search on Google, say, for site:www.yoursitenamehere.com
This will list all of the pages of your site that appear on Google.

2) How many inbound links to your site exist on a particular search engine?
Again, major search engines provide tools to allow you to determine this.
3) Has your press release been published?
Check the magazines it's likely to appear in, on a regular basis. It's a great feeling when you see your website in print! :-)
Some press release services can provide much fuller online stats, too.

4) How many of your articles have been published elsewhere?
Good article sites give you stats like this, or you can set up a Google Alert for certain words that appear in your article (do a search, if you don't know what a Google Alert is).

5) Is your website getting more visitors?
A good website statistics package should be provided by your web host, but you can buy an independent package should you require more accuracy.
Etc.
Seriously, online, the winners are those who test.

Making Money With Adwords

I don’t think I have met one person who doesn’t want to rake in the dough. One of the best ways I have found is promoting affiliates online. If you don't know what affiliates are here is a brief explanation; Affiliate Marketing is a popular method of promoting web businesses in which an affiliate is rewarded for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts. It is a modern variation of the practice of paying finder's-fees for the introduction of new clients to a business. Compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit (Pay per click), registrant (Pay per lead), or a commission for each customer or sale (Pay per Sale), or any combination.

The best way to find an affiliate product to promote is to sign up with clickbank.com they have a massive list of products which are all digital and available to download right away!
To sign up to clickbank go here to www.clickbank.com. Now once you have signed up you need to choose a product to promote, you might want to have a quick read through and see if there is a product that you would want to buy yourself (its always good to be interested in what your selling).

A great thing about clickbank is that it lists all the products which have the best percentage payout. For example in the “Money and Employment” category, “Data entry pro” is the top paying affiliate program; it pays 75% of each sale not bad!
When you see a product you like visit the website and look for information on how to be an affiliate they should give you a link like this http://xxxxx.dataentry.hop.clickbank.net/ just fill the xxxxxx with you're clickbank name and you're ready!
Anyhow once you have chosen a product to promote you need to find a way to promote it. You could make a web site and choose a lot of affiliates to promote, however it can sometimes take years to get high rankings in search engines, especially if you’re trying to rank within Google. So instead of using affiliate marketing you can use something called Google adwords. If you don't have a Adwords account sign up at www.google.com/adwords. Google will ask you for your website address and you can just input the affiliate link you get after choosing your product from clickbank.

Once signed up to adwords (it may take a few days if you're not using a website) you need to choose your keywords. Keywords tend to cost more depending on how popular they are. Therefore it might be a good idea to use overtures keyword tool or the google adwords keyword tool. Longer phrases are generally cheaper to purchase as they have less competition (the cheaper the better you make more profit).

Fortunately some advertisers don't do thorough keyword research meaning you can get some keywords as little as $0.01.

For example, I used ebay they pay $5 for any click through registration and $0.05 for any bid from the affiliate link. This worked to an extent however when using ebay as a keyword for you're adwords campaign you may have to pay around $0.37 a click. This ended up not being worth it and I didn’t actually make very much.

Another example of something that could make money would be purchasing keywords related to “data entry”, actually purchasing “date entry” as a adwords keyword would be expensive. Related keywords such as “data entry home employment”, “work at home data entry” or “data entry internet job” etc. would be worth while investments.

How Do You Make Money From Google Adwords?

Can you really make money from this?

Late 2003, I think was the first time an ebook popped up that claimed that one could make money from Google Adwords.
The main method that was revealed involved combining Google Adwords and the Clickbank affiliate program, to make money, online, everyday almost on autopilot.
Please allow me to very quickly outline how you can make money on the internet, using this system.

Here are 2 things you need to get started...
1) You need a Google Adwords account.
=> http://adwords.google.com

2) You also have to sign up as a Clickbank affiliate
=> http://www.clickbank.com

Ok, so how does it work?
Well, you simply go to clickbank.com and on the main page you click on "Promote Products" on the right. You will be taken to the index page of all products being sold via clickbank. Each product is listed with a short description and the percentage you make as an affiliate.
Just select the product you wish to promote, grab your affilate promotion URL, by clicking on the [earn 50%]. Your personal affiliate link will pop up, just copy and paste that, into a text editor like notepad.

The next thing I like to do is visit the main sales page of the product I have selected, and select some benefits from the sales copy, I can then use these to write my Google Adwords Ad.
Alright then, how do you write your Ad?

The general profitable Google Adwords format that has seemed to work for many is like this. Line one your heading ask a question, line two mention a feature of the product or ebook, line 3 give a benefit, then line 4 your websites address goes there.
Once you have selected your budget and you submit your ad, it will probably start showing on the Google network within the next 10 minutes.

When searchers see your google ad, they click on it and google will charge you for every click, according to how much you bid on a particular keyword.
If the searcher who clicks on your ad, then goes ahead and buys from the site, you will receive the respective commission from Clickbank, and you can check your earnings when you login to your clickbank account.

However, There's 2 things to watch out for...
Your Return On Investment(ROI) and your Click Through Rate(CTR).
The ROI helps you determine how profitable your Google Ad is, when you subtract the cost of running your ads from the amount earned in your clickbank account.
The CTR helps you fine tune your ad so you can increase the number of people clicking on it especially if its a profitable ad, if more people are clicking on the ad itself it would probably result in an increase in your affiliate income.
That is a quick look at the "How to make money with Google Adwords System". If you would like to get more detailed information on this system, I would highly recommened you grab yourself a copy of this ebook...

How You Can Earn $1,758 a Day with Google Adwords??
=> http://Google123.ontheweb.nu

In Conclusion...
You can also use Google Adwords to promote your own websites and other non clickbank products too, you just need to adopt and adjust the system I have outlined above.

Affiliate Marketing - How to Start Earning Money Today

If you’re new to Affiliate Marketing and your finding everything that your learning is a little “mind blowing” but really want to start making money today then here is the quickest way to get results.

First, I would begin with using ClickBank. They have a gazillion affiliate programs to choose from. If you don’t already have a ClickBank account then you can get one for free at http://clickbank.com/overview.html

We aren’t going to bother making a website or anything like that; I’m going to show you the quickest short-cut to earning the money today.
Now once you’ve signed up with ClickBank we’re going to go to the button “Promote Products”
Finding your first product to affiliate with I would suggest you go for a topic that you know something about. This will make writing your Google Ad much easier.
Search for a subject that you know a little bit about. I would also recommend choosing a product where you will make at least $20 for the sale.
Of course first, I want to be sure that there is a market for this product, I want to check to see if people are searching for it. So I’m going to head over to overture http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ And place in the keyword of the product I think I would like to promote.
If the keyword is being searched over on Overture a decent amount then I know there is a market for this product.

Now I’m going to see if the salescopy (website) is up to scratch.
Does the header draw you in and make you want to read more? Yes
Does it have believable testimonials? Yes
Is the offer genuine and believable? Yes
Does it have visuals of the product? Yes (not a requirement for myself)
Does it have Free Bonus’s? Yes (also not a requirement for me to promote it but definitely adds value)

Are they offering a money back guarantee? Yes
I would definitely promote this website. So now I need to set up a Google Adwords campaign.
This is now going to be the hardest work of it all. As you can see everything else we’ve done so far is a breeze.

If you’re not sure on how to set up a Google campaign I show illustrations on how to do this in my book “Affiliate Marketing – Quick Start Guide”. If you don’t already have this book you can get it for free by signing up to my newsletter at http://www.joesy.com
Because this is a digital download (they all are through ClickBank, ClickBank only deals in digital products) and if the subject refers to people worldwide I would promote this globally in my Google Adwords campaign.

Now you need to write your ad that will bring people to want to click on it. Say if I was promoting a product that shows people how to play the guitar… I would test a heading like: Learn to Play Guitar (in this subject line I’ve used the main keyword they’ve probably searched for “guitar” and I’ve suggested what this site will teach you “Learn to Play”.
Next is setting up your keywords. I use either http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ or wordtracker to help me find keywords for this product.

You will want to come up with around 200 to 300 keywords. I generally try to find keywords with little competition, this way I pay less per click.
You ad should be activated in around 10 minutes. You can check this by typing one of your keywords into Google and look for your ad.
